Digital Peephole is a small editorial project about the parts of the internet that are easy to miss.
So we don't try.
There is plenty of coverage for the biggest launches, the biggest companies and the loudest conversations online. Digital Peephole takes a different route. We look for useful tools, unusual websites, thoughtful interfaces, tiny experiments and ideas that deserve a little more attention.
Our starting question is simple: did this make us curious? Sometimes the answer is practical. Sometimes it is visual. Sometimes it is completely irrational. We don't need every discovery to be important. We want it to be memorable.
The goal isn't to produce more noise. It's to give interesting things a little context.
We try to explain why something caught our attention. What problem does it solve? What is unusual about it? Who might enjoy it? What should you know before clicking? Good curation is less about collecting everything and more about making the next click worthwhile.
We don't believe every discovery needs to become a daily notification. Some things are better encountered slowly. That's why the site is organised around pages, collections and notes rather than a race to publish as often as possible.
They keep the project useful and keep us honest.
Digital Peephole may work with companies, use affiliate links or publish clearly identified sponsored material. Those relationships should never be presented as independent recommendations. Commercial relationships are disclosed when they matter to a reader's understanding of a piece.
Peepholes are our quick format: one interesting thing, a little context and a reason to look. Field Notes are where we slow down and explore a broader idea. Both formats are designed to be readable without requiring you to become an expert first.
You don't need to be a developer, designer or technology obsessive.
Maybe you need a tool. Maybe you're bored. Maybe you want to understand a trend without reading fifty tabs. Digital Peephole is built for all three moods.
